Ninja Tactics Deployed!

Taro's eyes opened wide as the reality of what he had done set in. He looked up at the board and read the problem to himself. It was algebra. He hadn't done much of that in his training.

He shifted in his seat nervously and gazed around the room at the other students. Some of them were idly writing something down or gazing off at the ceiling, others had turned around to look at him. He looked over their expressions, trying to extract information, but as he had expected it was no use.

Taro turned his attention to the board to take a better look at the problem, trying to extract an answer.

"Nagesaki, do you have an answer for number three?" asked the teacher, a little impatient. He was now hunched over with his arms on his hips and glasses glaring in the sunlight coming from the window.

"Um," Taro began. He looked around at the students once more. There was a girl next to him, diligently writing problems down on the pad in front of her. Her long hair fell over her desk like a shiny black blanket, kept away from her face by a hair band. He could almost see what she was writing. He straightened up a little more and leaned forward onto his elbows propping himself up as if making himself comfortable. He could make out some of her writing. He could see what looked like a "13" but he wasn't entirely sure that was what he was seeing. It was the best answer he could come up with.

"Thirteen," he said with a smile, proud of his excellent work.

The teacher gazed down at the papers in front of him. "No," he said. "That's not right at all." Without hesitation, he continued his lecture. "Here's how you do this one..."

Taro fell back in his seat, allowing himself to slouch now. He suddenly felt less prepared than ever. Taro drowned the teacher out with his thoughts, as he went over his defeat, suddenly more concerned with how to do math than finding Aimoto. He looked up, watching for accusing stares in his direction. Nobody seemed to be paying attention to him now, as if nothing had even happened.

  1. I accidentally read "Ninja Taro" as "Ninja Taco."

So! I think you should include spin-offs in between of the adventures of Ninja Taco. It could be like, his alter ego or side kick or something. Idk, do with it what you will, but I'm personally interested in it cuz it sounds awesomely dirty. I'd prefer to see Ninja Taco portrayed in comic format :3

What is a Ninja?

There is a lot of misconception about what a ninja is.

A ninja is a weapon. A ninja is a warrior.

First appearing in writing as early as 4th century according to some history, though it is hard to place the beginning of the ninja, and most scholars agree that they emerged around the 7th-10th century. According to most Asian historians, the ninja first developed in opposition to the elite samurai during the Heian Dynasty (794-1185).

By the 15th century, the role of the ninja was primarily hired mercenary or espionage. By this time, there was already boundless myths about ninjas, calling them demons and giving them mystical powers which were widely believed to be true, but in all reality, ninjas were very trained in silence and stealth and could easily hide or slip away quickly and unnoticed in a way that would lead others to believe they were magical.

Our story presupposes a modern Japanese society where ninjas have managed to survive and continue traditional methods of teaching and hired by clients and used as weapons and tools of espionage and mercenary. Taro is one such ninja, growing up in a civilization of ninjas long-thought to be extinct. But when Taro begins his first ninja mission, his whole world gets turned upside down.
